This traditional "Blusa Mestiza" from Yucatan, Mexico made of black cotton-poly is embellished with brightly colored embroidered floral designs on the front and six inch slits on both sides at the hem. The neck, sleeves, and hem are beautifully scallop shaped and finished with bright pink embroidery.
This embroidery is created by starting with hand drawing the unique design. Then using a manual sewing machine, the artist embellishes the design with artistically chosen colors and flourishes, creating a one of a kind piece of wearable art.
