It was a hot August night in 1965 when Sally Moon climbed a ladder to the roof of her family’s home in Compton, California. What she witnessed was a red sky, created by flames of nearby businesses burning to the ground. It was the Watt’s Riots in south Los Angeles, City of Angels.
